Independent Physician Management, LLC (IPM) partners with hospitals and emergency-medicine physician groups to staff their emergency departments and manage the day-to-day operations of physician and advanced- practice scheduling. IPM builds fairness-balanced monthly schedules, keeps every shift covered, and gives each provider a simple way to handle changes — by phone, text, or app — through its scheduling platform, IPM Scheduler.
About the company
Independent Physician Management was founded in 2024 as a physician-led organization that staffs and manages hospital emergency departments and runs their day-to-day scheduling. We partner with established emergency-medicine physician groups across California and Oregon:

IPM Scheduler
IPM Scheduler is the workforce-scheduling platform IPM operates for its member groups. It is available to credentialed providers of those groups, who sign in here with their work account. It is not a consumer product and is not marketed to the public.
No patient information
IPM Scheduler is a workforce-scheduling system only. It handles the work schedules and contact details of a group's own credentialed clinicians — names, shifts, hospitals, phone numbers, and email addresses. It does not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any patient information of any kind — no patient names, medical records, appointments, diagnoses, treatment, or billing data. Because the platform never touches Protected Health Information (PHI), it is not a clinical or medical-records system, and every message it sends contains only staff-scheduling content — never patient data. Providers are expressly prohibited from entering, transmitting, or sharing any patient information or Protected Health Information (PHI) through IPM Scheduler.
Text-message program
Independent Physician Management sends SMS text messages only to credentialed providers of groups using IPM Scheduler — never to patients and never for marketing. Messages cover schedule notifications, shift-coverage requests, swap confirmations, time-off reminders, and password resets. Providers opt in verbally during their onboarding call or in writing at hire, and can opt out at any time by replying STOP (reply HELP for help). Message frequency varies with schedule activity; message and data rates may apply. See the SMS terms and privacy policy. No mobile information is shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
